Kelsey is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, 200hr RYT, Meditation podcast host, and PhD student. Kelsey is a member of IAEDP and recently joined the African-American Eating Disorders Professionals (AAEDP) Committee. With a clinical training background specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, Kelsey has worked in both inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities. Kelsey is passionate about centering her research on the experiences and therapeutic means of healing for BIPOC communities plagued with ED and body image dissatisfaction. Kelsey approaches her work with a focus on mindfulness, intersectionality, and authenticity. Kelsey believes her life's work is rooted in emphasizing the intersection of mental wellness, physical healthiness, and spirituality in efforts to enhance the quality of life of those she works with. Kelsey believes in honoring self-love, self-care, and self-preservation to promote wholeness, intentional living, and transformative healing.
